Celebrating the Autumn Equinox...

At this time of year, the air outside is turning crisp and the leaves start to show their golden hues. The smell of the air is refreshing and holds promise of the upcoming season. The Autumn Equinox is also known as Alban Elfed, Mabon and Second Harvest when the day and night is equal in length and it is at this time when the last harvests are being gathered. The Greenman is departing and the Goddess is making her way to the underworld. On this day in Ireland, the ancient megalithic site of Loughcrew within cairn T accepts the light of the morning sun and aligns precisely to illuminate the passage and chamber that reveals engraved sun symbols upon the backstone. This sacred passage was built over 5000 years ago and you can still bear witness to this light in that passage today.

On these days between 22 and 23 September, celebrate the harvest, the balance within this world, and extend the hand of peace to all that share this world with you. Honor the blessings that you have been given, shed the old bark that still clings to you in the form of sorrow, regret, anger and loss, give it back to the Mother for her cleansing touch of this season will fill you with new life.

I wanted to share with you a couple of my Autumn Equinox blends, these will be posted on my new website which I will share with you within the next couple of days. All of the infusions are done brewing and the incense blends are finished curing...wow it has been a long time coming but I truly feel they are worth the wait and I am so pleased with the way they are all turning out! The design of the labels has certainly taken quite a bit of my time as well-all in all I hope you all enjoy it! The Samhain blends are just being packaged now as well so that there will be plenty of time for shipping! Please visit again shortly for more info on a Samhain Giveaway I will be having here on the day the website launches!!

Have a beautiful Autumn Equinox however you celebrate and bring the light within...
